Training Plans
A training plan is the foundation of how Ideal Workout structures your training. Everything you do in the app — from logging sets to tracking progress — flows from a training plan.
The structure
Training plans are organized into three levels:
- Plan — the top-level program (e.g. “Beginner Strength”, “Push Pull Legs”)
- Workout — a named training day within the plan (e.g. “Push Day”, “Day A”)
- Set — an individual exercise slot within a workout, with a target rep range and optional recommendations
You can have multiple plans, but only one is active at a time. The active plan determines which workout comes next and drives all in-session recommendations.
How workouts rotate
Workouts within a plan are ordered. Each time you complete a session, the app advances to the next workout in the list. When you finish the last workout in the plan, the rotation loops back to the first.
